In a world obsessed with scrawny figures and emaciated models, it is no wonder that real people in big sizes are feeling less confident and more intimidated by all these publicity pushing for thinness and slim figures and tiny clothes most of the population can’t fit into. So, shopping in plus size clothing stores have become a chore, a task and sometimes even an embarrassment to some.

So, this article’s main purpose is to help you overlook all those publicity promoting so-called perfection of thin bodies and feel confident in your own looks and body. Confidence in your own body, regardless of whether you are wearing plus size clothes or not, is more important. Having a thin body does not mean you are perfect, beautiful or healthy. Those scrawny runway models could possibly be less healthy than you as they could be suffering from malnutrition and may even have eating disorders.

If you think wearing plus size clothes makes you look bigger or uglier or worse, like you put on a sack, then you are shopping at the wrong places and buying the wrong type of clothes. You can actually buy beautiful plus size designer clothes that are beautiful, sexy and classy. Not only that, these clothes will flatter your body, emphasize the beauty of your figure and give you a hot, sexy presence you always craved. You need not hide in sack-like clothing, you need not hide your curves and you definitely do not have to be ashamed of your curves.

You don’t even have to worry about spending a lot to buy designer plus size clothing because these are readily available at reasonable prices at plus size online stores and some wholesale plus size clothing stores. Shopping may sound boring or painful, but if you go to the right places, you will find that it can also be fun and you will be able to walk out a new person clad in a new cloak of confidence.

The secret to wearing plus size clothes with confidence is to tell yourself that you are way better than those skinny, scrawny models. For one thing, you don’t have to think twice about what you eat. For another thing, you don’t have to worry about people scrutinizing your every inch to check for flaws. And the best of all, you are proud to be yourself and you do not let anyone, whoever they are, put you down because of your size. This means, you must always love your size, feel comfortable in your own skin and ignore all those demeaning remarks by people who are too small minded to talk about anything else.

As long as you fill yourself with confidence and is comfortable as you are, you will soon realise that people start to look at you differently and not notice your size but begin to admire your confidence. It is only then that you will find out that regardless of what you are wearing, you are exuding an inner beauty that people admire. But then, of course, dressing up beautifully is way more fun in order for you to show off your curves. Always remember that you only need to walk confidently and combine that with beautiful clothes, you are all set to wow anyone who crosses your path.

Indulge In Pearl Earrings UK

September 29, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: plus size women clothing

If you feel like it may be time to indulge, a new pair of earrings might just be what you’re after. There is undoubtedly a lot of choice available when it comes to jewellery, and it can leave many women panicking about which style they should choose. If individuality is what you’re looking for, a pair of pearl earrings will create a stunning look, and buying pearl earrings UK will also mean you get affordability coupled with elegance.

History dictates that pearl jewellery is a sign of aristocracy and it is for this reason that women have been lavished with pearls for many years. A fine example of stunning pearl jewellery is the pearl-encrusted tiara which is viewed as a sign of royalty.

If you’re buying pearl jewellery, your money will be well spent, since this type of jewellery retains its value well. Pearls are from oysters and these can take a long time to develop, therefore making them more in-demand and boosting the value. In fact, it can take several years for a genuine pearl to be formed.

One of the beauties of pearl jewellery is that it can be appreciated by many generations, and pearl jewellery kept in the family can be enjoyed many years down the line. Pearl jewellery is just so easily accessible and it can be teamed with many different things; in particular, pearl earrings are the perfect statement-making option.

Hair jewellery and pearl jewellery often join forces in the accessory world and create hair clips and unusual combs. Expand your jewellery collection by buying pearl brooches to place on jackets – a very Chanel influenced style.

Pearls don’t have to just be worn for formal outings, and a set of lustrous pearl earrings can look stunning at any time of the day, whether its for work or play.

If you have a stylish black dress then your pearl jewellery will no doubt look fabulous with it. Never underestimate the striking combinations of a black dress and light coloured pearls. You don’t want to look washed out, so take note that pale pearls will not look right with a white dress, as you wont be able to distinguish the stunning jewellery! If you wear a white dress with pearls, there is no colour balance with the jewellery. Buy some pearl earrings UK to match that little black dress you have in mind, as they will look super stylish for any occasion.

It is important that you don’t end up buying fake pearls because there are some rather suspect jewellers out there and you should only buy from a reputable dealer. Gain some pearls of wisdom by researching authenticity online, where there are useful resources for you to check out. If you’re looking for something to hold its value and offer timeless chic for many years to come, pearl jewellery is the ideal purchase, and with thorough research you will be sure to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Opium Perfume For Women By YSL

September 28, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: plus size women clothing

Opium epitomizes Yves Saint Laurent’s fascination with the orient. This fragrance combines exotic flowers, rich spices and deep wood accords to bring out an enchanting and enigmatic ambiance that is notably oriental. Incredibly delicious and addictive, Opium’s potency is far out and simply unmatched.

The dominant notes include tangerine, plum, cloves, coriander, carnation, lily of the valley, rose, myrrh, opoponax, castoreum, cedarwood and sandalwood. While it’s true that Opium is a classic oriental in its own right, it is subtle enough for daytime. The musky undertones, in addition, makes it perfect for intimate moments.

According to foetidus, a regular contributor at basenotes.com, he believes that Opium truly lives up to its name. It provides a feeling of euphoria from sniffing the richness of the fragrance. He added, “Opium is timeless and magic, and it is still THE Oriental. Aldehydes and bay are prominent in the opening with a shadowing of cinnamon and orange. I find the opening controlled by the bay and I love it because bay has always been a favorite note of mine. The opening is warm and exotic and noticeably unisex. It lasts longer than is typical for openings. The middle level is floral: I get a strong carnation as well a definite jasmine complete with indoles… Opium comes by its name honestly: By the time the heart notes are almost over, I feel a bit drugged from sniffing the richness of fragrance. Maybe there’s actually no opium in the mix but the fragrance does provide a definite bit of euphoria – it’s a feel good feeling. The base is Oriental and feminine to the extreme, and it is the most complex and interesting level of the fragrance; it is just plain enticing – blended sandalwood, patchouli, amber, vanilla, incense, opoponax … smooth and powdery and proof that there is a heaven.”

Opium is one of the many fragrances that’s often imitated. But the end-result of the Opium “me too’s” didn’t come any close to the formulation of the original. Opium offers a carnal olfactory experience, the others can try harder.

This fragrance is unlike the other contemporary oriental perfumes. The notes may come off as too 70s or 80s, but that didn’t shun the perfume aficionados who know what a true potent oriental perfume really is. Opium’s versatility goes as far as men wearing it. It is not created as a unisex fragrance to start with, but some men love the appeal of the women’s version over the men’s.

Opium perfume is regarded as one of the perennial classics in the Yves Saint Laurent fragrances. People’s preference for fragrances may have evolved over the years, but Opium lived on. The same oriental essence three decades ago continue to flourish.

Mexican Clothing – An Introduction

September 27, 2009  //  Posted by: admin  //  Category: plus size women clothing

Modern Mexican clothing differs little from that of other North American cultures. Mexican clothing products in the modern world features the usual standbys, such as shorts, jeans, shirts, and sneakers. Lighter clothing is typically the choice, both in color and style, because of the sometimes oppressive equatorial heat. Mexican clothing in large cities of the modern era does not really differ much at all from that found commonly further north, such as in American cities.

Traditional Mexican clothing, however, has a very distinct personal flare.  Combining Mexican and imperial Spanish influences, traditional Mexican clothing is very distinctive. Traditional Mexican clothing can be found worn on a variety of holidays. The Day of the Dead is perhaps one of the most famous of these holidays, although there are numerous others. Traditional Mexican clothing is a blend of Spanish influences with that of the native pre-Spanish Mexican culture. Of that ensemble, the Mexican Sombrero is probably the most easily recognized aspect.

The traditional “charro” suit is another recognizable element of Mexican culture, frequently seen when worn by mariachis.  Originating with pre-Spanish culture, the charro suit also has religious roots.  The charro suit is very popular at a variety of Mexican events.  Other traditional Mexican clothing includes a mixture of European influenced outfits, combined with a dash of pre-Spanish culture.  These outfits owe a great deal to imperial Spanish culture.  Mostly unchanged in their style, these Mexican outfits usually feature an added cape or hat for extra effect.

The sarape is an easily recognizable Mexican article of clothing. Consisting of a vibrantly colored garment that usually has a fringe, the sarape is collected both on a vintage basis and produced new. The sarape is a combination of Mayan culture with that of the Mexican poncho. The sarape is traditionally made in the Mexican state of Coahuila, and sold to city dwellers, as well as tourists passing through.

The rebozo is another popular Mexican clothing, worn most often by women. Usually produced in vibrant colors, the rebozo is most commonly used as a shawl or scarf, and can range in price from that of a very inexpensive garment to a chic designer item. These are just a couple of the popular items in Mexican clothing.
